Lighting Components Recycling

We partner with providers who use advanced, automated, dry-separation processes to separate lamp waste into glass, metals and mercury-contaminated phosphor powder. Through these processes, roughly 96% of total bulb weight is recovered as glass; 2% as aluminum; less than 2% as phosphor powder; and less than 1% as mercury for refining. Lamp ballast are separated by type and decontaminated as needed to remove poly-chlorinated biphenyls for recycling, incineration or disposal.
